Compact Coil Nailer for Cladding, Boarding and Shuttering
The TJEP MX-50 is a lightweight professional coil nailer designed for fast and efficient fastening with 15° plastic-collated coil nails from 25 to 50 mm in length and 2.1 mm in diameter. At only 1.5 kg, it is easy to handle while working continuously on larger areas.
Its coil magazine holds up to 200 nails, reducing interruptions for reloading and making the MX-50 particularly practical for repetitive fastening work.
Where is the TJEP MX-50 used?
The MX-50 is designed for applications such as:
- Exterior timber cladding and siding
- Timber boarding and panelling
- Eaves and fascia boards
- Shuttering and formwork
- Decking
- Wood frames
- Certain metal fastening applications
The 25–50 mm nail range makes the MX-50 particularly suited to fastening relatively thin timber elements to their supporting structure, where a longer framing nailer would be unnecessary. For exterior timber cladding, the appropriate nail length should always be selected according to the thickness of the cladding, battens/substructure and the manufacturer's fixing requirements.
Use with TJEP MX Ring Nails
The MX-50 accepts TJEP MX 21-series ring nails, including 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 mm versions, depending on the required application. TJEP offers these in different finishes, including galvanised and A4 stainless steel versions.
For timber cladding, the A4 stainless steel ring nails are particularly suitable where corrosion resistance and a clean long-term appearance are important. The ring shank provides increased holding power compared with a smooth nail, while the full head provides a conventional, positive fixing point.

A Practical Choice for Cladding Professionals
For installers working regularly with timber cladding, boarding, eaves boards or shuttering, the MX-50 offers a useful combination of low weight, high nail capacity and fast coil nailing.
Pair it with the appropriate TJEP MX ring nails for the material and exposure conditions. For exterior timber cladding, A4 stainless steel nails are an excellent choice when long-term corrosion resistance and a clean finish are priorities.
Always verify the required nail specification, fixing pattern and penetration depth according to the material manufacturer's recommendations and the requirements of the specific application.
