Structural Full-Thread Wood Screws

Structural full-thread wood screws are high-performance self-tapping fasteners designed for load-bearing timber connections, structural reinforcement and crack prevention in solid and engineered timber. With thread running the full length of the shank, they engage both joined elements continuously — eliminating the separation effect of partial-thread screws and delivering superior withdrawal resistance under static, cyclic and seismic loading.

Two head types, one structural system:

  • Cylindrical head (pan head) — narrow profile that sinks cleanly into the wood; preferred for angled installation and inclined reinforcement connections driven at 45°
  • Countersunk head — angled taper that seats flush against the wood face when driven perpendicular to the surface; ideal for panel fixing and applications where overlying materials must lie completely flat

Key technical properties:

  • High-strength carbon steel, yield strength up to 1000 N/mm²
  • Self-drilling tip with cutting notches — no pre-drilling required in most substrates
  • Wax coating reduces installation torque by up to 20%
  • CE marked · ETA approved · Eurocode 5 compliant

Compatible substrates: solid wood, glued laminated timber (glulam/BSH), CLT, LVL, KVH, OSB, plywood and wood-based panels.
